The Heuer Monaco is a racing icon named after the famous racetrack in Monaco on the Côte d'Azur. When Hollywood legend Steve McQueen wore the Heuer Monaco in the film "Le Mans," it transitioned from a racing watch to a fashion statement. Today, well-preserved examples are exceedingly rare, and demand far exceeds supply.

This specific "Transitional" variant of the reference 1133 is even rarer than most other Monaco models. The original Monaco, known as the "Chronomatic," was released in 1969 for only a few months. After Heuer sold the name "Chronomatic" to Breitling, the label had to be removed, leading to the creation of what is now referred to as the "Transitional" model. In this version, the Monaco logo appears above the Heuer logo, with "Automatic Chronograph" printed at 6 o'clock above the date. Like the Chronomatic variant, it features a stunning glossy metallic blue dial and rectangular steel hands. This watch is powered by the desirable Caliber 11.

The "Transitional" variant was also produced for only a few months before the introduction of the 1133B models with matte dials in early 1970. It is exceedingly rare to find a "Transitional" Monaco 1133 with a good dial, let alone one with an unpolished case. The watch being offered here meets both of these criteria. Additionally, it comes with an authentic Heuer orange leather strap featuring the original buckle.

Don’t miss the opportunity to own this extremely rare Monaco in excellent condition.
